Nick Carter’s family is facing another tragic loss with the passing of his sister, Bobbie Jean “B.J.” Carter, who died at age 41. This heartbreaking news comes just over a year after the passing of their brother, Aaron Carter. The specific cause of her death has not been disclosed. Their mother, Jane Carter, expressed her shock and deep sorrow at the sudden loss of her daughter, stating that she will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time.
In addition to Aaron, who tragically died at age 34 in November 2022 after accidentally drowning in his bathtub, Bobbie Jean was also preceded in death by their sister Leslie, who passed away in 2012 at age 25 from a drug overdose, as well as their father Bob Carter, who died in 2017 at the age of 64. Melanie Martin, the mother of Aaron’s son Prince Carter, also shared a tribute to Bobbie Jean on her Instagram Stories, expressing her deep sadness at the news.
Bobbie Jean was previously seen on the E! reality show House of Carters in 2006, and had kept a low profile until her arrest in Florida in June. The police records show that she was arrested for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance. She was accused of stealing $55 worth of stickers and markers from a Hobby Lobby and was also found to be carrying fentanyl. Moreover, she was cited for failure to appear at a hearing in the case in September.
She leaves behind a daughter, Bella, aged 8, and her mother, sisters, brother, and stepsister, who are all mourning her loss. Funeral plans for Bobbie Jean have not been publicly released at this time.
