The red carpet at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards was a sight to behold, with stars like Dua Lipa and Kaley Cuoco making a fashion statement. Lipa sported a stunning strapless, red column dress with floral detailing, while Cuoco wowed in a black strapless tea-length frock. Host Chelsea Handler also turned heads in a canary yellow, square neck shift dress paired with metallic strappy sandals, and Danielle Brooks walked the red carpet in a dusty rose, ruffled gown with a black bow in the front.
The awards, known for predicting the Oscars winners, honored top films and TV shows including “Barbie,” “Oppenheimer,” “The Crown,” and “Succession.” “Barbie” received the most nominations with 18, including Best Picture, but faced tough competition from other films. Notable film stars such as Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, Ryan Gosling, Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Lily Gladstone also received well-deserved recognition for their acting performances.
Additionally, “The Crown,” “The Diplomat,” “The Last of Us,” “Loki,” “The Morning Show,” “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Succession,” and “Winning Time” were nominated for Best Drama Series, while “Abbott Elementary,” “Barry,” “The Bear,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Poker Face,” “Reservation Dogs,” “Shrinking,” and “What We Do In the Shadows” would duke it out for Best Comedy Series. Veteran actor Harrison Ford was set to receive the Career Achievement Award at the event.
