Julianne Hough has given her support to her brother Derek Hough and his wife Hayley Erbert after Hayley recently underwent emergency skull surgery. Derek shared the news on Instagram, and Julianne took to her own Instagram Story to ask for prayers and send love and healing to Hayley and Derek. She expressed her gratitude for the support the family has received, thanking everyone from the depths of their hearts.
Following a Dec. 6 performance in Washington, D.C., Hayley became “disoriented” and was taken to a local hospital, where she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma and required an emergency craniectomy. Derek shared that she is in stable condition and thanked all the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for her.
The Dancing With the Stars community also came together to show their support for Derek and Hayley during this challenging time. DWTS alum Alyson Hannigan and cohost Alfonso Ribeiro both expressed their love and prayers for a speedy recovery for Hayley. Derek and Hayley, who met through Julianne’s tour in 2014, tied the knot in August and have received an outpouring of love and well wishes as they navigate this difficult situation.
In addition to support from family, friends, and the dance community, Julianne asked for prayers and well-wishes for her brother and sister-in-law during this time. The family is appreciative of the support they have received while Hayley continues her recovery.
