• Kim Kardashian’s skincare line, SKKN by Kim, may potentially become a family business involving her children with Kanye West
• Kim has expressed willingness for her kids to be involved with SKKN By Kim if they choose, but also supports them pursuing other interests aside from the beauty business
• Kim doesn’t expect her kids to pursue business careers, and sees potential for her daughter North to pursue a creative path
Here is what happened:
Kim Kardashian has expressed interest in opening her skincare line to her children, stating that she is open to one day allowing her and ex Kanye West’s kids to be involved with SKKN By Kim, if they choose. She mentioned in an interview with Bustle that she would love them to be involved but wants them to do whatever makes them happy. The 20 percent stake in her former cosmetics and fragrance group KKW Beauty was bought by Coty.
The reality star continues the family business through her shapewear company SKIMS, showing that she has multiple business ventures. She shared in an interview on Mavericks with Mav Carter that some of her children feel like creatives, and she would not push them to follow any particular career path.
Despite being an influential figure in the beauty and fashion industry, Kim has made it clear that she does not have any expectations for her kids to pursue business careers. She wants her kids to follow their passions and the creative outlets they enjoy. Last October, North expressed interest in taking over both Kanye’s clothing and shoe brand and her mom’s shapewear company. In an interview with i-D magazine, she mentioned, “One day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS. And I want to be a business owner.”
