Travis Kelce was surprised by a change in lyrics featured in Taylor Swift’s song. The Kansas City Chiefs player joined his brother Jason Kelce on the Philadelphia Eagles player’s Christmas album, The Philly Specials, where they exchange barbs in one of the songs. The two NFL superstars poked fun at each other in their rendition of “Fairytale of New York.”
The Eagles musical group, which also includes players Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson, released three songs this year, with proceeds supporting the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, a non-profit serving Philadelphia’s children and families. Travis made his singing debut on the album, soon after supporting Taylor’s Eras Tour in Argentina. He had high praise for her performance and also attended her show in Buenos Aires.
Taylor has been a supportive presence at Travis’ NFL games, appearing at several of them sporting Chiefs gear, and even wearing an Erimish bracelet with Travis’ jersey number. She has also been seen spending time with other players’ significant others on game day.
