After a whirlwind romance and engagement, Chris Zylka and Paris Hilton ultimately broke up because he didn’t want to put his acting career on the back burner while dating Hilton. Zylka revealed their reasons on the Dec. 6 episode of Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide. Zylka said that he didn’t want to give up his career as an actor in Hollywood, even though he admitted to choosing Hilton over work at the time. They had a breakup following their engagement, and he considers Hilton to be “the one relationship that I’ve ever had that there was no take. It was all give. It was really lovely.”
Zylka said he felt he was at the peak of his career going into the final season of HBO’s The Leftovers, but had to put his career on the back burner for about two years during their romance. He admitted that it was a wake-up call that performance art was super important to him. After their split, Zylka signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement, but he also mentioned that there was never anything negative he would say about Hilton. He put the blame for the breakup solely on himself and recognized he never expressed his gratitude for Hilton, who he described as a wonderful human being.
Hilton, on the other hand, has moved on with a new partner, Carter Reum. She has spoken about how ending their engagement was the best decision she’s ever made, and how she deserves someone amazing. Zylka also said that he feels happy to see her happy with her new family and booming career.
Additionally, Hilton has found love with her new boo, Carter Reum. Hilton said that from the get-go, she knew Carter was something special and expressed how blessed she feels to have found the love of her life with Carter. The couple has celebrated numerous milestones, including their engagement and wedding, and they also welcomed their first child together. Both Hilton and Zylka have seemingly moved on and found happiness in their respective relationships.
