Shawn Johnson East and her husband Andrew East recently welcomed their third child, a son they named Barrett “Bear” Madison East. Shawn admitted that she was nervous because their older son Jett showed signs of being clingy and emotional before Bear’s arrival. However, Shawn said that the transition to becoming a family of five has been relatively smooth, with Jett accepting his baby brother and Drew, their daughter, showing no signs of jealousy.
Shawn also shared that the transition from two to three children has been the easiest so far. She explained that both zero to one and one to two had presented their own challenges, while two to three has been a lot of fun. She expressed her joy at being able to enjoy this experience, knowing that Bear is their last baby. However, she did acknowledge that it’s been an adjustment trying to split her time between her newborn and her older kids.
The family is also looking forward to their annual Super Bowl party, which will be a little different this year as most of their friends have babies. Shawn mentioned that she plans on getting game day kits from Target to make the preparations easier.
Shawn also expressed her admiration for her husband Andrew, saying that he is the best dad and celebrates their kids in the coolest way possible. For Shawn, seeing her husband connect with each of their children in unique ways is very special.
